Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Mikrael Media ("we", "us") collects through Calm When Alone and what we do with it. The short version: we ask for your email (and, if you want, your first name) so we can send you the guide and a short email series. We don't sell your data.
What we collect and why
- Email address (required) and first name (optional), when you fill in the sign-up form. We use them to send you The 7-Day Calm-Dog Starter Plan and a short series of emails about separation anxiety in dogs, and to personalize those emails.
- Confirmation record. We use double opt-in: you confirm your address by clicking a link. Our email provider keeps the date and time of sign-up and confirmation as proof of consent.
- Campaign source. If you arrive from a link that includes campaign tags (for example from Pinterest), those tags may be stored with your sign-up so we know which content is useful.
- Replies. If you reply to one of our emails, we read and keep your message to answer you and to understand which problems readers face. We never publish a reply in a way that identifies you without asking.
Who processes your data
Systeme.io is our email provider. It stores your contact details, manages the confirmation step and sends our emails on our behalf. Its own privacy policy applies to that processing. Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which, like any web host, processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs.
Affiliate links and tracking cookies
Some pages or emails may contain affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We work with affiliate networks including Impact.com and ClickBank. When you click an affiliate link, the network and the merchant may place cookies or use similar technologies and process data such as your IP address, device and browser information, the time of the click and whether a purchase follows. They do this to attribute the sale to us so a commission can be paid. That processing is carried out by those companies under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; affiliate links will still work, but the purchase may not be attributed.
Analytics, heatmaps and session recordings
This site does not currently use any analytics, heatmap or session-recording tools. If we add them, we will update this policy first and ask for your permission before loading them.
Email, unsubscribing and deleting your data
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from the list.
- You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it or delete it by replying to any email we have sent you. We will respond within 30 days.
- If you sign up but don't confirm your email within 24 hours, your unconfirmed contact is deleted automatically.
- We keep subscriber data while you are subscribed and delete it when you ask us to.
We don't sell your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with the service providers named above, to run this site and send our emails, or if the law requires it.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and why;
- Delete the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — we don't sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask us to confirm this;
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, contact us by replying to any email we have sent you. We may need to confirm your email address before acting on it.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced to subscribers by email.
